As part of the School Leadership Programme by Solutions For Non Profit and SGAB & Partners LLP, I supported the students of SKV Malviya Nagar in taking an inspiring initiative to create awareness around Cyber Safety and Security.
The students went beyond classroom learning and took the lead in understanding digital risks and educating their peers. As part of the initiative, they:
As part of my engagement with the Women Sports Foundation (WSF), I conceptualized, developed and led a crowdfunding campaign to support the launch of its Menstrual Hygiene Initiative.
The campaign was built around the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, leveraging the event as a platform to connect the cause of menstrual health with the wider running and youth community. I reached out to individual donors, HNIs, youth groups, running groups and members of the running community, creating awareness about the initiative and encouraging them to contribute towards the programme.
Through this campaign, I successfully mobilized ₹5,00,000, which enabled WSF to launch and implement its Menstrual Hygiene Initiative in Sohna Block, Gurugram, Haryana. The programme focused on improving awareness around menstrual hygiene and encouraging healthier and more informed practices among women and girls.
For me, the initiative demonstrated how sports, youth engagement and community-led fundraising can come together to create meaningful social impact—transforming participation in a sporting event into direct support for a grassroots development programme.
As part of my Community Support Programme, I have conceptualized and initiated an In-Kind Support Programme to strengthen the work of grassroots Non-Profits and community-based organizations.
Through this initiative, I facilitate the donation and distribution of essential resources such as books, stationery, learning kits, sanitary pads, wheelchairs and other need-based materials to organizations working with underserved communities.
The programme focuses on bridging resource gaps and enabling non-profits to deliver their programmes more effectively. To date, more than 1,000 adolescents and young people have directly benefited from the resources provided through this initiative.
Organizations supported through the programme include Yuva Ekta India Foundation, Shikarwa Youth Group (Nuh), Yellow Streets, Lets Volunteer and other grassroots organizations.
I believe that support does not always have to be financial. Providing the right resources at the right time can strengthen community organizations and create meaningful, direct impact in the lives of young people and underserved communities
I facilitated the Weekend Community Exposure Programme for Helping Hands Foundation, a two-day experiential learning initiative designed to connect urban youth with grassroots realities and help them understand developmental challenges through direct community engagement.
The exposure visits were undertaken in villages of Sonepat, Haryana, where young participants interacted with rural communities, observed local realities and learned through experience, participation, reflection and learning by doing.
As part of the initiative, more than 500 community members were sensitized on critical social issues including female foeticide, gender-based violence, social inclusion and participatory development. The programme leveraged the collective strength of women’s groups and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to facilitate meaningful conversations and encourage community participation.
The initiative created a two-way learning platform—enabling urban youth to develop empathy, social awareness and a deeper understanding of grassroots development, while supporting rural communities in engaging with issues that directly impact their lives.
My role: I conceptualised and facilitated the community exposure process, supporting meaningful youth–community engagement and creating opportunities for experiential learning and participatory development.
